We are taking liturgy to the sreets. Shane Claiborne writes: “Liturgy and worship were never meant to be confined to the cathedrals and sanctuaries. Liturgy at its best can be performed like a theater to make the gospel visible to the world around us.”
We will walk a mile loop through the heart of San Marcos and make seven stops along the way. The stops are designed to help cultivate a spirit of reflection upon Christ’s suffering through creative expression, to empower us to prayerfully witness Christ in the community we worship within, and to learn to walk in the way of Jesus, even to the cross.
Please arrive at the lawn behind Pizza Nova at 6:15 p.m. on Good Friday, and the walk will begin at 6:30 p.m. and last 45-50 minutes.
