Deeply formed by being with.

Restoration Abbey is a church plant worshiping in the heart of San Marcos. Our aim is to form unlikely friends into the friends of God, and join God in the restoration of all things.

What’s an abbey?

Abbeys began as intentional communities established next to local towns offering sanctuary and solitude for the weary.

Abbeys incorporated all parts of life, spiritual, economic, and relational, in the pursuit of peace-filled wholeness.

An abbey’s story was interwoven between the community of faith and the people they loved in neighboring cities and towns. We think that these relationships, this “being with,” is at the heart of the gospel.

Since our inception, we’ve wondered, what would a modern day abbey look like here in San Marcos? What would be some distinguishing features of people who were part of this community?

Together where we live.

Parish groups are designed for us to explore what God is up to in our neighborhoods by connecting people living in proximity with one another over shared meals and friendship.

We’d love to meet you.

Our sanctuary is embedded in the Autumn Terrace Neighborhood in San Marcos, so finding us can be a little tricky.
Parking is available near the Boys and Girls Club off of Pico Ave.
If you can see a fenced playground, you’re in the right place!
